a. Where are the Parks located?

Our Jaco Beach Rainforest Adventure park is located at 3kms southwest of MaxiPali of Jacó; and our Braulio Carrillo park is 22kms after the Zurquí tunnel.

Park Operating Hours

a. What days are the parks open?

We are open every day from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm


b. What are the office and administrative working hours?

We are open every day from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm

Restaurants

a. Are there any Restaurants, Cafeterias or souvenir stores at the park?

Yes, both parks have access to Restaurants, cafeterias and souvenir stores.

Attraction's Restrictions

Canopy Tour

Approximately 300 pounds per person.
Harness sizes: S, M, and L available.
Pregnant women are only allowed to enjoy the Tram Tour.
Minimum age required is 5 years old.
Children aged 3 and younger may enter free of charge.
Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.


Braulio Carrillo's Aerial Tram

6 people per gondola and 8 people in the Pacific Gondola.
Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.

a. Which are the longest Canopy cables?

Braulio Carrillo: 700 meters, Jaco Beach: 315 meters.


b. Are there any storage facilities in the park?

Yes, we have a range of lockers you can rent for 3.00 USD to keep your valuables safe and secure during your visit.


c. Can I purchase tour pictures?

Yes, we have tour photography available. You can purchase your photographs and receive them via email, USB device and / or you can rent a Go pro Camera at the park.

Transportation, Directions & Parking

a. Where are you located?

We are located at Mystic Mountain, Ocho Rios, Jamaica.


b. Will transportation pick up and drop us back to our hotel?

We offer round-trip transfers from hotel pick up points in four areas of Jamaica to the Park (Ocho Rios, Runaway Bay, Montego Bay, and Negril). The rates per person are:
Ocho Rios - USD $ 12.10
Runaway Bay - USD $ 20.90
Montego Bay – USD $ 22
Negril – USD $ 27.50


c. Do you pick up from port?

We don't offer transportation from the port, you could get to the closest hotel and request the transfer.


d. Do you have a parking lot?

Sure thing, we count with plenty places to park.


e. Do you provide transportation from Negril Hotels?

Yes, we provide transportation service from Negril Hotels (Only hotels listed on the packages Negril pickup days are: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.


Park Operating Hours

a. What are your operating hours?

We are open from 09:00 AM to 17:00 PM daily. Once in the park you can enjoy your adventure at any time between our operating hours. Please notice that the last tours start at 03:30 PM.

Restaurants

a. Can we bring our own food to the park? Is there a Restaurant or a Bar?

Food is not allowed into the park. But you can have a delicious lunch in the Mystic Dining Restaurant which is located in our park.

Guests with (Visual / Hearing / Mobility) Disabilities

a. Is a person with one hand allowed to go on Ziplining?

Yes, they are able to go ziplining.


b. Is there any attraction that a person with (mobility/visual/hearing) disability can do?

Yes, the Sky Explorer.

Local Rates

a. What are your rates for locals? I am Jamaican.

The local rates are only available at the park’s entrance if you show a valid Jamaican resident ID:
● Sky Explorer Tour (Adults J$ 2.850 / Children J$ 1.300)
● Bobsled Tour (Adults J$ 3.950 / Children J$ 1.950)
● Canopy Zipline Tour (Adults J$ 6.900 / Children J$ 5.200)
● Tranopy Tour (Adults J$ 7.700 / Children J$ 6.350)
You can show a valid Jamaica resident ID, Passport, valid work permit or valid driver license.


b. I would like to know if I'm booking online how do I get the rate that locals would pay. Reason for asking is because when I try to book it just shows me USD prices?

The way to get the local rates is by ordering directly at the park. Online is only for international rates (USD rates).


Booking Tickets & Discounts

a. Do you need shipping address for sending tickets?

No. When finishing your booking, tickets are sent via email and you will only need to show the electronic confirmation to enter the park, which is great for your pocket and the environment!


b. Could you confirm me if you accept credit cards at the park for payments?

We accept all major credit cards. However, for locker rental we accept cash payment only.


c. Can I reschedule my tour?

Yes, your tour can be rescheduled without any problem with a 24 hours prior notice.


d. Do you have group discounts?

For group discounts we need at least 10 people for it to be considered a group, if that's your case then you should write an email to our Group Reservations Manager, Nancychatani@mysticmountain.com, and make the request. She'll kindly reply to you.


e. Any special rate for seniors?

No, Seniors can opt for the Adult price and get the discounts we currently offer on our webpage.


f. Is there special rates for students?

At the moment there is no special rates for students but they can opt for the local rates if they show a valid Jamaican resident ID.


g. Do you offer Travel Agents Rates?

We do not offer rates for travel agents. Instead, we have a Submition form which you can apply to through us and be part of our Travel Agents Team.

h. What is your refund policy?

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled activity, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled activity, there's a fifty percent (50%) cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled activity, there is a one hundred percent (100%) cancellation fee

Yes, we do have transportation as long as it is booked with the tour. The falls are 5 min away from the park.


b. Is there any job vacancies?

c. Do you have lockers at the park?

Yes! we have lockers on site for you to save your things $5 each one, only cash payments are accepted.


d. What do I have to wear to go to the park?

Comfortable or athletic clothing is mandatory. You will need to bring your bathing suite for the pool.


e. Do you supply towels if we use the pool?

No, you will need to bring your own towels.


f. Can I go in Flipflops?

No, closed-toe shoes are mandatory.


g. Can I take my GoPro

Yes, but at your own risk and only when they are strapped to the person.

a. Is there transportation from the cruise port to the park?

Yes, note there is a different charge from the port than from the hotel district in the North.


b. Is there public transportation to the park?

Yes, but only from town (not port) and at certain times. Cannot be used effectively for visitors.


c. How much would charge a taxi from the cruise port to the park?

USD 120.00 to USD 140.00 round trip for 1-4 persons

Guests with (Visual / Hearing / Mobility) Disabilities

a. Is there any attraction that a person with (mobility/visual/hearing) disability can do?

Yes, the Aerial Tram tour


b. How do parks accomodate guests with disabilities (visual, hearing, mobility)?

We can accommodate a fold able manual wheelchair on the bus and guests have to be travelling with an able body to mount and dismount and load and unload the wheelchair on and off the bus, and to assist them to enter and exit the bus and move in and out of the Aerial Tram. We can only accommodate one fold able manual wheel chair per bus, which results in one fold able manual wheel chair per 20 persons. Please advise 24 hours prior if there are more wheelchairs which need to be loaded on the bus so we can prepare accordingly. Note that due to the road condition in St. Lucia the bus is passing through windy roads and pot holes. Please ensure that guests do not have any pre existing medical conditions which can be triggered by the drive.


c. Can I rent a wheelchair? / Can I take my wheelchair?

The wheelchair cannot be loaded on the Aerial Tram gondola and guests have to be able to sit unaided.

The wheelchair or walker cannot be loaded on the Aerial Tram, however it can be stored at the base station/start point of the Aerial Tram which is the same location the Aerial Tram returns to. We have a manual wheelchair at the Rain forest Sky Rides park, which we can use to move the guest from the bus to the Aerial tram boarding (not ship to port).

Parking is available at the Park complimentary for all guests


g. Is it possible for the transfer bus to drop us off at a different location?

Our transportation arrangement has set pick up and return times as well as a specific route to the park and back to the port. Unfortunately, the driver won’t be able to drop you off at another location on the island as we are responsible for taking you back to the port.


h. How do we find RFA transportation at the pier?

After disembarking from your ship please make your way to the Taxi Dispatch stand at the Port. Head towards the tall building with the screen, go past the information booth & you will see a sign for Taxi Dispatch. Please present your booking voucher (or a screenshot of your reservation) to the Taxi Dispatcher and he or she will ensure that you are placed in the correct vehicle.
Transportation from the pier to the park is approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Guests with (Visual / Hearing / Mobility) Disabilities

a. Is there any attraction that a person with (mobility/visual/hearing) disability can do?

If the person with a disability has someone accompanying them, and depending on their level of mobility, they can do most of the attractions.
● Sky Explorer: we can stop the chair liG for someone to be liGed or move from their wheelchair into the chair. They do need to be somewhat mobile on their own.
● 360° Viewing Decks: it is wheelchair accessible however the guest needs to have someone with them to assist them around the decks
● Schooner: they need to be able to crouch down and sit in the tube. They will also need to be able to stand (with assistance) to get out of the tube.
● Sentry Hill: full mobility required
● Dutchman: The guest needs to be able to hoist themselves up into the chair but can be assisted out of the chair at the bottom.


b. Can I rent a wheelchair? / Can I take my wheelchair?

We have a couple of wheelchairs available at the Park however they must be requested / reserved in advance. Additional wheelchairs can be available for rent through another partner.

Trips can be booked between a year to 1 week before arrival


b. Are there special rates for nationals?

The current resident rates (subject to change) are as follows:
● The Big Three (3 rides) is $69 for adults & $61 for children.
● The Soualiga Sky Explorer is $33 for adults & $25 for children.
● The Sentry hill zipline is $49 for adults & $42 for children.
● The Schooner ride is $44 for adults & $36 for children.
Please bring a valid SXM ID (St Maarten or St Martin driver’s license, ID card, health card are all considered valid forms of ID) to qualify for the resident rate.


c. Is there a special rate for students?

University of St Maarten students the resident “children/senor” rate. Students will be required to show their ID card at the entrance in order to receive said rate SXM AUC Medical students studying on St Maarten are eligible for the resident rate once they show their ID card at the entrance.


d. Is there a special rate for seniors?

Yes, Seniors (65+) receive a discounted rate (same as the child rate)


e. Are there special rates for tourism agents?

At the moment we have no implemented special rates for Tourism Agents. Please have them contact the sales department for reservations (sales.sxm@rainforestadventure.com)


f. Are there special rates for crew members?

Crew Members are eligible for resident rates, they must show their crew ID.


g. Can I have a private event at the park?

Please have them contact the sales department (sales.sxm@rainforestadventure.com) as it is possible depending on the date


h. Are there group discounts?

Group discounts for every 15 persons you can receive 1 person of equal value complimentary. Please have them contact the sales department (sales.sxm@rainforestadventure.com) for bookings as reservations & prepayment are required


I. I am unable to add a promo code to The Flying Dutchman, can you help?

Unfortunately, promo codes are not accepted on packages that included The Flying Dutchman that includes The Big 3 as well.


j. What are the payment methods available?

You can either print or show your reservation via phone as there is free WIFI at the Park.

Yes you can a minimum of 24 hours prior. Please reach out to us at reservations.sxm@rainforestadventure.com to reschedule your visit. Kindly note it is subject to availability.


m. What happens if I get sick the same day I booked for my visit?

Please reach out to us at reservations.sxm@rainforestadventure.com to reschedule your visit to the Park or emiliossxm@gmail.com for the Restaurant. We are also available via telephone at 1-721-543-1135 / 32


n. What happens if there’s a hurricane warning issued by the National Institution for the area where the park is located or for my place of residence, within 7 days of my scheduled arrival date?

If you are unable to reschedule we will provide you with a full refund should a natural disaster prevent you from coming to the Park.


o. If I cancel my trip, can I get a refund?

Cancellations up to 24 hours in advance will be charged a 25% service fee. Same day cancellations will not be refunded, even if not picked up or used. Cancellations based on factors outside the guests control (eg ship does not arrive/park closed) will be considered for complete refunds on a case by case basis.


p. If I request a refund how long does it take to be processed?

Depending on the circumstances if payment was made at the park, refund or partial refunds can be processed immediately with management’s consent.

Attractions

a. How many zip lines does the Sentry Hill Zip Line consists of?

Sentry Hill Zip consists of 4 different zip lines spanning 500-meters each. Guests will get the opportunity to traverse the mountain ridge to each platform.


b. Can more than one person sit in a tube?

Schooner ride only permits one per tube.


c. How many zip lines are on The Flying Dutchman?

Flying Dutchman consists of 4 zip lines. Each guests will be harnessed in a chair and launched down the mountain next to each other.

2. Soualiga Sky Explorer:

a. Children must be able to sit on their own and be accompanied by an adult at all times.
b. Children are not permitted to sit in parent’s laps, be in “packs” or anything that “straps” them to their parent or guardian.
c. Guests are required to wear closed toe sturdy shoes and absolutely no heels or flip flops.


3. Sentry Hill Zip Line:

a. Height requirement: minimum 52 – maximum 80 inches
b. Weight requirement: minimum 80 – maximum 275 pounds
c. Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries not recommended to fly
d. Guests are required to wear closed toe sturdy shoes and absolutely no heels or flip flops.


4. Schooner:

a. Height requirement: minimum 42 – maximum 80 inches
b. Weight requirement: maximum 275 pounds
c. Children must be able to hold on at all times as it is one person per tube.
d. Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries not recommended to slide
e. Guests are required to wear closed toe sturdy shoes and absolutely no heels or flip flops.

Curiosities

a. Can I take my Go Pro?

Go Pro/Cameras/Phones are not permitted on the attractions (Flying Dutchman/Schooner/Sentry Hill Zip) unless it’s attached with a head/chest strap mount. Guests are free to use their GoPro/Camera/Phones on the Sky Explorer and 360° Viewing Deck.
We recommend using it attached with a strap, as we have no retrieval process for items dropped or lost while on any of the attractions.


b. Are there lockers?

- Yes, there are lockers available for rent ($5 each).


c. What do I have to wear to go to the park?

- Comfortable or athletic clothing and closed toe sturdy shoes are required.


d. Do I have to wear knee-length shorts?

- Knee length shorts are recommended but not required. Guests are welcome to wear any pants he/she feels most comfortable in.


e. Can I go in sandals?

Closed toe sturdy shoes are required


f. Is there a place where children can play while I’m doing the attractions?

Kids must be supervised at all time by their parents/ Legal guardians.


g. Are gift certificates available?

We do have gift certificates on sale at park at retail price. Gift Certificates can be purchased at the main entrance of Rainforest Adventures St.Maarten whether with a dollar value or per package.
