The Holy Family Children's Home

The Holy Family Children's Home

The Holy Family Children's Home is located about 10 minutes from Castries. The home provides a loving, secure temporary home for young children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or abused. It was founded in 1997 by the Archdiocese of Castries in collaboration with Good News Project, Inc. from Wisconsin, U.S.A. and the Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Deliverance. The Forestry Department is the principle agency responsible for managing forest and wildlife resources on the island of St. Lucia. It does so through legislative authority granted by the following statutes:

The Trust is not only the longest serving environmental and heritage membership organisation on the island, but also the only membership organisation with a legal mandate to conserve both the natural and cultural heritage of Saint Lucia. The Saint Lucia National Trust is a statutory body established in 1975 for the specific purpose of preserving buildings, objects of historic and architectural interest and areas of natural beauty together with their animal and plant life, for present and future generations.
