Rain Forest Aerial Trams St. Lucia Launches New Adrena Line The Zip Line Excursion

03/03/2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MIAMI, FLORIDA (March 3, 2010) – This month, St. Lucia’s premiere eco-adventure company, Rain Forest Aerial Trams St. Lucia, launched the new Adrena Line The Zip Line tour, which is sure to give visitors some white-knuckle thrills.

Located just a half hour drive from the port of Castries and the island’s major hotels, the brand new Adrena Line zip line tour is not for the faint of heart. Upon arriving to Rain Forest Aerial Trams St. Lucia, visitors participate in an orientation and safety briefing then gear up for this thrilling new tour. The adventure starts off with a short hike through the peaceful rainforest. This quickly turns into an adrenaline rush as visitors scramble across the Floating Stairs suspended above the ground past the Eagle’s Claw – so named for the grip of the root system that has consumed the volcanic boulder – that delivers them to the first of 14platforms. Trained “rainforest sweeper” guides hitch riders up to a series of cables to zip from platform to platform, finally swaying from the Tarzan Swing onto the Tarantula’s Nest. Then riders enjoy a heart-dropping slide off a platform down the Boa Rappel to terra firma and their land legs.

After the action-filled tour, visitors can wind down, enjoy refreshments, and indulge in some (seemingly now) tame shopping at the Duty Free Gift Shop.

All riggings are on a triple redundancy system to ensure safety and the activity is certified by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). Groups of eight are guided with two experienced “rainforest sweepers” guides.

Rain Forest Aerial Tram St. Lucia in the highland community of Chassin offers visitors a unique opportunity for full immersion in St. Lucia’s vivid rainforest, located at approximately 2,000 feet above sea level at the base of La Sorciere. Guests can choose to wander along the hiking trail eavesdropping on nature’s conversations, soar up and away through the forest canopy on gondolas enjoying cooling breezes and a bird’s eye view of the island’s north, or they can thrill-seek, gliding from platform to platform, high on the stoic trunks of the ancient sentries of the forest. As the island’s premiere eco-adventure company, they have created tours that appeal to all levels of interest and ability.

About Rain Forest Aerial Trams

The original Rain Forest Aerial Tram Atlantic was established in 1994 in Costa Rica by H.J. Von der Goltz, a visionary and nature lover. It was the first operation of its kind anywhere in the world, with a unique requirement: it had to be built in the middle of 1,200 acres of dense jungle without impacting the forest. Today, five Rain Forest Aerial Trams located in Costa Rica (Pacific and Atlantic), Saint Lucia, Dominica and Jamaica, serve as wildlife reserves and ecotourism attractions. The exceptional combination of attractions such as the Tram ride, Bobsled and Zip Line plus the experience, training and commitment of a multi-lingual and naturalist guides guarantees an educational, adventurous and unforgettable experience for guests. www.rainforest-adventures.com
