Rainforest Adventures takes you to a scenic boat ride of the Panama Canal. On your Panama vacation, a short transfer will take you to the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal to board a small canal pleasure boat where you will commence your partial canal transit, traversing Miraflores Locks and Pedro Miguel Locks. Your vessel will be raised 85 feet above sea level!
Continuing through this Panama tour at a leisurely pace, you will soon enter the Gaillard Cut, the narrowest section of the Panama Canal, bisecting the Continental Divide. Your shipboard commentator will give full details about the locks and the famous Panama Canal.
Your time aboard the vessel and in the canal will last approximately 3 hours depending on the number of other transiting vessels. You will disembark at Gamboa in the center of the Panama Canal, where your motor coaches await.
