Color Your Vacation with the Sights and Sounds of the Jungle
Families color their next vacation green at Rain Forest Adventures Costa Rica. Just as Miley Cyrus discovered on her recent visit, these eco-adventure parks (on Atlantic and Pacific coasts) combine with high-flying adventures. The Colors and Textures of the Tropical Forest family package offers a full day of discovery at Rain Forest Adventures Costa Rica.
Colors and Textures of the Tropical Forest is full of sensory experiences. Children learn the secrets of Costa Rica’s rainforest through interactive workshops and tours. Children ages 3 to 12 years old are welcome. Tour takes place from 9:00amto 2:00pmand costs $82 for children and $78 for adults (through September, 2012).
First, a guide greets and "tattoos” guests with a safe, washable natural ink from the yellow fruit of a tropical plant. Then it’s on to the Serpentarium snake exhibition and Butterfly & Frog Garden to learn about Costa Rica’s creatures.
At the Color Station, a small garden of plants and seeds, children perform an entertaining experiment, designing a T-shirt with natural dyes or making their own fossil of exotic leaves. Parents continue on with a hike, or join kids in the fun.
Colors and Textures of the Tropical Forest tour is completed with a flight through the treetops on the Aerial Tram and traditional Costa Rican meal for the whole family. Safe and educational (but don’t tell the kids),
