Student Travel 101: Costa Rica
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine
Student travel is essential as Intro to Psych. Rain Forest Adventures in Costa Rica offers students two eco-adventure parks to take the travel leap. Here, they’ll reflect on their role in the environment, while also testing their boundaries of height, speed and global awareness. Student tickets for a day of zip lining or Aerial Tram and walking tour begin at $24.75.
Rain Forest Adventures Costa Rica Atlantic and Pacific parks have achieved Costa Rica’s Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST) Level 5, the highest tier. Both feature signature Aerial Tram rides high into the jungle canopy with color commentary by multi-lingual naturalist guides, heart-pounding zip lines (including the new AdrenaLine 700-meter line at Atlantic), guided nature hikes, bird-watching tours, a Butterfly and Frog Garden and a Serpentarium open-air snake museum.
Students will also learn the many sustainability efforts at Rain Forest Adventures Costa Rica. This commitment began from the ground-up with construction by helicopter, and continues day-to-day with water recycling, energy conservation and training for local workers.
Spending a night in the midst of the jungle is also possible at the Costa Rica Atlantic Rainforest Lodge.
Student tickets (available with valid student ID) for a full day of activities begin at $24.75 for both parks. www.rainforest-adventures.com
