From beginning to end, Rainforest Adventures is dedicated to making your travel to Dominica both memorable and enjoyable. Immediately after departing from ship berth or hotel in a fully air-conditioned bus, you will be whisked through Historical Roseau, Dominica’s capital city, known for its distinctive Creole architecture.
On your way to the village of Laudat, you’ll discover why Dominica is known as the “Nature Island of the Caribbean,” as you’re treated to magnificent views of the island’s forests and beautiful countryside.
At the site, you’ll be met by one of our expert naturalist guides. Take an optional walk through our new Vanilla Orchid Loop Trail, followed by your Dominican rainforest tram journey. As you glide slowly into pristine rainforests, you’ll encounter nature at its best.
Over the course of the 90-minute rainforest aerial tram trip, your guide will introduce you to the many types of flora, fauna and other wildlife that can be found in Dominica. You will have unprecedented access to the lush rainforest canopy, home to wildlife that remained hidden from human eyes until the development of the Rainforest Aerial Tram.
The Morne Trois Piton Rainforest in Dominica boasts over 172 species of birds, including two endangered species of parrots. Spectacular views of majestic mountains, the Trafalgar Falls, and the Caribbean Sea are all part of this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Be sure to bring along a camera for your crossing of our awesome suspension bridge over the 300-foot Breakfast River Gorge. During the aerial tram canopy tour, you will have the option of getting off at Tower 19th / Top Station and walk through our 84-meter long suspension bridge, from which you can observe four to five Dominican waterfalls on a rainy day, one of which is the famous Trafalgar Falls.
From there, take a short walk through our Chatannier Nature Trail and board your gondola again at Mid Station to return to Base Station. This sensational attraction is partly located on the Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.
